Soar across Niagara Falls: MistRider Zipline

You know how much I love adventure and adrenaline-pumping activities. I have skydived several times, I have zip line, para-glide, rode dune bugiegs, and drove ATVs before. 

So what is left to do? I still have crazy ideas, but one thing on my bucket list was to soar high and fast next to Niagara Falls. I can tell you the views are so breathtaking, the feeling or going down towards the Falls and feeling the mist on your face as you get closer is unforgettable experience.

First I want to clarify that with the MistRider Zip line you don’t zip line across the Falls but next to gore towards the Falls.

After you check in by the entrance of the Hornblower Niagara Cruises, you sign your waiver and then you get weighed.

​Then you get into the most comfortable harness I have ever been on. It is pretty much a seat and it even has a “backpack” where you can store all your belongings. 

You start your journey at the at the top of the tower and end near the base of the Horseshoe Falls. Then they pick you up in a shuttle to bring you back to the top.

Get your helmet, get seated and ready and smile for the cameras. Don’t forget to enjoy your journey.

Talking about the journey, is short, probably 45 seconds, you are going down from 220 feet up at around 40 miles per hours on a line of a length of 2,200 feet.

You land at the observation deck at the base of Horseshoe Falls. The ride has an automatic braking system so you do not have to worry about it.
