Ninjago Birthday Party - Part 1: The Invitation

2/21/2013

My son loves Legos, but I guess that is common among kids his age. Last year we had a Lego Hero Factory birthday party and for this year he wanted a Lego Ninjago party.

I work full time so I knew I had to look online for ideas, and things that were easy to make.
I found this awesome site for an idea for the invitation. The site is so great that it evens provides with the links to download the font for the invitation. That was pretty cool and convenient.

Now, the assembly for the invitations took some time. You will need parchment paper, super glue, rod sticks, paint, beads and ribbon.
Now, I am glad I found the design already made, because making the scrolls is very time consuming.
First I painted the rods with Stain. Once they were dry, I glued the beads on the top of the rods.
Printed the invitation in Parchment paper, rolled in the form of a scroll and tied up with ribbon.

Please note that you either need hand deliver the invitations or get a special tube to send them by mail.
But the end result is very nice and everyone loved the invitations.
