The warmer weather is here letting us know spring is arriving and with the warmer weather, very cool things are happening at The Disneyland Resort. I took my son yesterday to celebrate his birthday and we were lucky enough to experience the soft-opening for the new parade.
Magic Happens Parade at Disneyland
With a wave of his wand, Mickey Mouse leads a cavalcade of fabulous floats, whimsically costumed performers and popular Disney pals like Anna, Elsa and Olaf around the park and into your hearts—all while moving to a high-energy musical score that puts a contemporary spin on classic Disney hits. In addition, a brand-new song co-composed by singer-songwriter Todrick Hall helps bring some of your favorite Disney tales to life like never before.
The parade features several distinct “stories,” with a delightful mix of characters. Watch Moana ride the crest of a beautiful wave in her voyager canoe, followed by Coco’s guitar-strumming Miguel, who’s joined by his dog Danté and other fantastical spirit animals. Behold the enchanted forest from Frozen 2, as Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff and Sven pass by. Then prepare for the grandest finale of all as the parade commemorates memorable story moments from Sleeping Beauty and other Disney classics. It’s an incredible procession not to be missed! The parade runs twice daily, at 3:30 PM and 6 PM, and runs from the “it’s a small world” Promenade to Main Street Town Square. There’s also a reserved viewing area near Plaza Inn, for guests who purchase the Magic Happens Dining Package. This package costs $40 for adults and $25 for children, but is only valid for the second performance of the parade. Food and Wine Festival at California Adventure
The Food and Wine Festival is back at Disney California Adventure starting today, February 28th through April 21, 2020. This year's festival has the food booths with delicious culinary creations, culinary demonstrations, Junior Chef, and much more. This is an event that every foodie needs to attend.
Off course besides the food and wine pairings there will be also some entertainment available and the opportunity to buy really cool and cute souvenirs. Rise of the Resistance ride at Disneyland
Ok, I know what you are thinking. That is not new for Spring, it first opened back in Janurary. BUT it is still the ride everyone wants to get it and it is AMAZING.
Until now, and I do not see this changing anytime soon, you need to get to the park and have your ticket scanned into the entrance before the park opens, then exactly at the time the park opens, you need to start trying to get a boarding group. I will have a post explaining how to do that, so you can read about it. The ride is great, you feel like you are in a movie, believe me, it is worth all the hype and getting up early to be at the park before it opens!
