New at SeaWorld San Diego for 2017

We were guests of SeaWorld San Diego and were given a behind the scenes tour of their new attractions. All opinions expressed are our own.

We were invited by The Moms to an amazing day at SeaWorld were we got to see some behind the scenes action, like a private viewing of the new Orca Encounter presentation, we got to interact with animal ambassadors and got to play at the new Ocean Explorer area.

For over fifty years, Sea World San Diego Water Park has provided entertainment to hundreds of families around the world and has especially promoted the rescue and rehabilitation of marine species.

Each visit at SeaWorld brings smiles to our faces. This time around we were able to get cool shots with different animals. At the Dolphin Encounter we had the opportunity to learn more about dolphins and get super cute pictures. You can also book the Dolphin Interaction where you actually get in the water and “swim” with the dolphins. Both activities are highly recommended.

New at SeaWorld for 2017

Orca Encounter

​In this new presentation, the audience will learn a lot about killer whales. It is not the Shamu show, but a presentation with Orcas that teach you the behaviors and habits of the whales. You can learn Guests about the hunting behaviors and ways of communicating and working as a team in the wild. 

​Ocean Explorer 

This new are has attractions inspired by the seven seas, impressive aquariums and interactive rides. The best part? Kids of all ages will be able to see and explore the area and even ride all the attractions. 

Rides include: Submarine Quest, Tentacle Twirl, Octarock, Aqua Scout and Sea Dragon Drop

Submarine Quest

At the new Submarine Quest ride, you climb aboard a submarine and you interact with the navigation dashboard to understand the underwater habitat. Right now the ride is pretty popular and lines can be long.

We recommend getting the Quick Queue that allows you to save time when you skip the lines of our most popular rides.. There are different levels of Quick Queue depending of your needs. Some of them also include reserved seating at shows.

Electric Ocean is a dance party that will take place from June 17 to September 4.
