We were provided complementary tickets to attend the park and facilitate this review, however all opinions expressed are my own.
It is no secret our family loves Knott’s Berry Farm. It is not only the roller coasters but also the seasonal events such as Boysenberry Festival, Scary Farm and Merry Farm. Ghost town alive returns for summer in 2017 and we are thrilled about being part of all the fun.
The event was initially done as a celebration of the 75th anniversary of Ghost Town at the Farm. But it was so successful that they are bringing it back for 2017. It all starts early in the morning after the park opens, and you can take a role on the activities. Yes, you read that right. This is an interactive activity. Ghost Town Alive is the first immersive experience at a theme park. You get to interact with characters in a choose-your-own adventure way where guests will change the course of the day through actions they take.
Ghost Town Alive! offers guests a firsthand experience to play an important part in this unfolding story of the old wild west, with specific tasks giving you an essential role as an honorary citizen of Calico. Not only will you have an opportunity to take part in the story, YOU WILL have influence on how the story takes shape.
You can actually go right inside the barber shop and get a mustache painted on your face or you can get sworn in as a citizen at City Hall, after taking an oath. Pretty much you can interact at places that before you saw off limits. All ends around 5:30PM during the hoedown. (Although the park is still open until a later time) Snoopy’s Magnificent Magical Revue
Another thing you have to make sure you do not miss is the new magic show starring the World’s Most Famous Beagle, Snoopy, with the amazing magic of Magician Extraordinaire, Greg Wilson! The show runs on selective dates staring June 10 – August 20 in the Charles M. Schulz Theatre.
Stay cool at Knott's
There is several ways to stay cool at Knott's Berry farm. You could enjoy some of the amazing boysenberry treats, such as ice cream or Icee. However we recommend spending some time by the arcade, playing inside with air conditioner. While you are there make sure you visit the new VR Showdown in Ghost Town.
New virtual reality additional charge attraction, VR Showdown in Ghost Town, in the Knott's Boardwalk Arcade! Go on a time traveling adventure in a virtual futuristic Ghost Town and come face-to-face with hordes of robotic enemies as you embark on a daring mission with other groups of players to defend the town. Blast, dodge and crouch through an interactive 360 degree VR world. VR Showdown in Ghost Town is the first and only permanent full motion virtual reality experience in a U.S. theme park.

Oh, this'll make a terrific family vacation destination. My hubby loves all things ghosts. I think my daughter is just a crazed about the subject matter.

This looks like a cool place to take the family! My oldest daughter would get a kick out of visiting this place, she is a true ghost adventure gal, she is always watching those ghost shows. I on the other hand would love to see the Snoopy show.

I've never heard of this place, but I also know that there are so many places like this out there. If I could pick one, and if I lived closer, this one looks like fun for the entire family. Great pics by the way!

I did love Ghost Town alive and my adventure there. My daughter loves it as well. We did it last year and we have already been back a couple of times this year.

I haven't been to Knott's Berry Farm in over 15 years, and it looks like a lot has changed. My grandson would have a great time Ghost Town Alive. He's into all things Western as of late. If we're ever lucky enough to go back, guaranteed, my husband would love to pet the horses and I'd eat my weight in ice cream. x
