Some of the destinations and events mentioned on this post were complimentary or a media rate was extended as part of my attendance to the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration–an invite-only conference held by Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line.
A proof that Disney World is not just for kids is that you can challenge yourself to drink one at each of the 11 countries featured in the World Showcase at Epcot Center. If you have never been at Epcot, look at the map below so you can have an idea of how it looks like.
Around the lake you will find 11 pavilions representing the following countries: Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, United States of America, Japan, Morocco, France, United Kingdom and Canada. You can decide to go left and start in Mexico or go right to start in Canada. The idea is to start out at one end of World Showcase, and continue through the countries drinking at each country.
At each pavilion you will find dinning, shopping and some kind of attractions pertaining to the county. Your challenge is to have a cocktail, beer, glass of wine or alcoholic drink from that country. If you start your day around 10:30 am when some of the restaurants open to the public that means that you have less than an hour enjoy each drink before you have to buy the next one. Here are some tips for you:
Mexico
Choza de Margarita quick service restaurant
Norway
Kringla Bakeri og Café: Viking Coffee (flavored with Kamora Coffe Liqueur and Baileys Irish Cream $10.25
China
Joy of Tea: Canto Loopy (with vodka and cantaloupe juice) $8.95
Germany
Get your beer at Sommerfest:
Italy
Via Napoli (Donkey cart) Bellini ( peach puree with prosecco sparking wine) $13.00
USA
We looked around and saw California wines and craft beers, but this is something we can have at home, so we decided to skip the drinks in here and move on the the next country.
Japan
Teppan Edo: Matcha Frappe (Rum and Sake Blend with Condensed Milk and Ice-rimmed inside with Green Tea Syrup) $10.00
Morocco
The Morocco Oasis kiosk: Moroccorita includes vodka, lemon/lime juice, and Bols Triple Sec. $10.99
France
L’Artisan des Glaces: Ice Cream Martini (2 Scoops, with a shot of Grand Marnier, Whipped Cream Vodka or Rum)
11.97 United Kingdom
Rose & Crown Pub: Cider and Fireball (Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey, Fireball Cinnamon Whisky, and Strongbow Cider topped with Ginger Ale served in a Souvenir Cup) 11.25
Canada
We skipped Canada, but if you want to try something we recommend having a beer.

I have not been to Epcot before but I have hear that the "around the world" experience is so much fun for adults. I hope that my husband and I can do an adults only trip one day!

I like the idea of drinking around the world in such a small place/area. It is a lot easier than trying to fly to every country but hey, if we could we would. This sounds like it would be a cool thing to do, the French beverage with the ice cream is the most interesting.

I want them all, I want to try them all. I would not skip any country. Challenge accepted. Going to Epcot in 2 months. I will report if we are able to have a drink in each country

I've only been to EPCOT once, and I did not get to experience enough of it. I would love to try to drink around the world! I see what you mean about spacing things out. Otherwise I'd need one of those Minnie vans to take me home.

I had no idea that they had cocktails, let alone such a variety at Epcot. I'd totally be up for an around the world cocktail party. I especially liked the matcha drink from Japan and the ice cream martini from France (one of my favorite places to visit in real life too!).
