Some of the destinations and events mentioned on this post were complimentary or a media rate was extended as part of my attendance to the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration–an invite-only conference held by Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line.
Epcot's World Showcase is one of the main reasons people got to Epcot center. Although we enjoyed the rides and the vibes at the park, in our last visit we were up for a challenge. To eat around the world in one day. We were on a mission. To try to snack and eat something from most countries located around the lake. That is too much food for one day, is it?
We almost made it. Keep reading below and see what foods we chose to have at each county and if we actually ended up eating at each county.
Mexico
For Mexico we decided to eat at Choza de Margarita. They have on their menu: frozen margaritas and on the rocks, and only 3 items for food, however it is quick service option and the line move fast. My son loves tacos so we ordered the Tacos Al Pastor (Al Pastor marinated Grilled Pork. Served with Corn Tortillas, Green Tomatillo Sauce, Onions, Pineapple and Cilantro served with a side of Corn Esquites). You can also get here guacamole and empanadas de Barbacoa.
Norway
Once in Norway we choose another quick service restaurant. We were not that hungry and we decided to try something sweet, although the restaurant has other options such as sandwiches and meatballs. The School Bread
(Sweet Cardamom Bun filled with Vanilla Crème Custard and topped with Glazed and Toasted Coconut) was a nice treat to have. If you like coconut you will love it. China
It was only our third country and we were getting full. Our best advice is to get small items and share. After exploring the China buildings and taking pictures we stopped by the quick service booth, Joy of Tea where we got the pork and vegetable egg rolls.
Germany
As seen in many movies, we needed to try the Jumbo Pretzel at Sommerfest, quick service restaurant in Germany. It was really huge, I mean the term jumbo fits it just right. It was delicious, probably one of the best pretzels we have ever had.
Italy
You know that when you "are" in Italy you have to have pizza. We have heard so many good things about the pizza at Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria. I recommend reservations to eat here. We ordered the Pepperoni Pizza - Individual (tomato sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni) and it was enough for both of us.
United States of America
We were getting really full, so we decided to skip The United States since we normally can get food at fairs and local festivals. However we looked at the restaurants and we can say we recommend you eat something at the Funnel Cake Kiosk. The Funnel Cake with Sugar ($7.00) looks really good.
Japan
My son loves sushi and we were celebrating his birthday so his choice for the big real meal at Epcot was the Teppan Edo restaurant. Reservations are recommended.
We got the following:
Morocco
We stopped at a quick service kiosk, the Oasis Morocco Beverages. We chose the walnut baklava because it had been a while since we had some baklava and we were not disappointed. We loved it. The portion is enough to share and it is not too sweet.
France
It might sound like a weird choice for France, because normally you would think about crepes, croissants, eclairs, mousse, quiche, souffles, tarts or cheese platters, however we were in the mood for something sweet so we decided to try the ice cream at L'Artisan des Glaces. A double scoop of vanilla on a waffle cone was enough to calm out sweet tooth.
United Kingdom
We stopped by the Rose and Crown Pub for some drinks and food. My son immediately asked for one of his favorites: House-made seasoned crisps. The best thing about them is not only they were delicious but we were able to save them to eat them the next day, because if you have been keeping track we have had a lot of food (and drinks too)
Canada
We skipped Canada, however we stopped to check the PopCorn snack cart where you can get Maple popcorn for $5,25
We were stuffed by the end of our challenge. We skipped two countries. We still say that we ate around the world and we got to try amazing dishes from each country. Maybe next time we will do this on two separate days so we can fully enjoy more food from each county.
Have you ever eaten around the world at Epcot? How was your experience?

Now I have to go to Epcot and do this. Sounds like an amazing way to "travel" and eat around the world.

Eating and drinking around the world is one of my favorite parts of Epcot! I always have to get a pretzel and grapefruit beer from Germany. I also really like stopping in Morocco . . . their couscous salad is to die for!

That sounds like a fun way to enjoy all of the cool stuff at Epcot. I didn't eat anything while there because we were so worried about getting to every single princess while there for my daughter that us adults didn't enjoy a single second there but maybe someday because this looks awesome for a foodie like me!
