Oh my Disney, we all woke up to the news of the surprise raise in ticket, parking, and Disney Annual Pass prices for Disneyland. We all knew it was coming, but it normally happens on the firsts days of February, so the price increase so early in the year, it does come as a surprise for all Disney fans, and not a very magical one this time. Some say it is a way to have crowd control, others think it is related to the opening of Star Wars Land later this summer. Regardless of the reason, it is getting harder for big families to be able to afford a visit to the mouse and build memories Disneyland has divided their daily tickets into 3 categories or “tiers”: Value about 20% of the year and are mostly weekdays (M-Th) during the “off season.” Peak about 30% of the year, including all dates during the Christmas-New Years season, all of spring break, and weekends (F-Su) in the summer. Regular dates include all of the other days not labeled as “value” or “peak”. Effective today the Disneyland Resort ticket pricing is:

Southern California Select Pass $399 Admission to both theme parks on select days of the year and is for Southern California residents only. It gives up to 10% off select dining and up to 10% off select merchandise Disney Deluxe Passport $799 Admission to both theme parks on select days of the year, gives up to 10% off select dining and up to 10% off select merchandise Disney Signature Passport $1149 Admission to both theme parks on most days of the year, gives up to 15% off select dining, gives up to 20% off select merchandise. Includes free parking Disney Signature Plus Passport $1399 Admission to both parks, includes Disney MaxPass, gives up to 15% off select dining, gives up to 20% off merchandise, includes standard parking and has no blockout dates. Disney Premier Passport $1949 Admission to all California and Florida theme parks and has no blockout dates, gives 15% off select dining, gives 20% off select merchandise, includes MaxPass with Digital PhotoPass downloads and PhotoPass/Memory Maker services in Florida, and includes standard theme park parking.

That is a huge price increase. I can't believe people still pay, I guess if you are a Disney fan like you, then you don't care
