New fastpass system at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure

The new fastpass system at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure is here. The good news is that the concept has not changed. You still can get pastpasses for free and if you organize your day you can still get the most of them. However technology is here and you can now get fastpasses with the Disney application. Read more so you get familiar with the details and can enjoy your visit to the parks.

You can enjoy the system by using the Fastpass distribution points near the attractions at both parks.
How to Use

1. Find the Fastpass distribution sign near the entrance of the attraction.
2. Insert your park ticket (or annual pass)
3. Grab your Fastpass receipt that has the return time window
4. When it is time, return to the attraction and make sure to scan the park ticket (or annual pass). Note that the fastpass ticket is only a reminder for you, you NEED your park ticket (or annual pass)
5. Walk the line with minimal wait assigned to fastpass holders.

Do not forget

• Fastpasses are valid only during the Return Time printed on the Fastpass receipt on the day of issue.
• Everyone in your party using the Fastpass Return entrance must have a Fastpass on their ticket to be able to enjoy the attraction.
• You can only hold a Fastpass at the time, until the time noted on your fastpass ticket.

Disneyland has just added an option to buy Disney Maxpass. The Maxpass will allow you to make Fastpass selections right from your phone using the Disneyland Application.

1. Link your tickets to your Disney account. You must link each ticket to a Maxpass.
2. After entering Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park, choice the option Get Fastpass to make your Disney Fastpass choices.
3. When it’s time to enjoy the attraction, head to the Fastpass Return entrance and show your mobile device and hold it up to the scanner so it can read your Disney Fastpass redemption code.\
4. Note that you can still cancel or change your selection on the My Plans screen

 
Do not forget

• Fastpass selections for popular attractions may not be available at the time of Disney MaxPass purchase as Fastpass selections are limited and availability is not guaranteed.
• After a Fastpass selection has been made, another Fastpass selection will not be available until the time stated in the Disneyland app.
• The Disney MaxPass feature is valid only on the day of purchase if purchased after park entry, or only on the day of theme park ticket use if purchased as part of the theme park ticket
