My son is not really a picky eater. We have a rule in our house you must try everything food at least once. If you do not like it, you will not eat it then, but we will try it again in a couple of months. Yes, I have to admit myself that there a few food flavors that I did not like at first when growing up and then as an adult I have learnt to like them. Olives is a great example. So, to help my son to learn to eat new foods, we try them, and we try them all over again. We have gone from not liking guacamole to love it (as long as is spicy), same things with other foods. Now, I we have found a way to get even more different nutrients that otherwise he might not be eating as much. We are having green smoothies. To the smoothies we can add pretty much anything, but the one he really likes is the Kale/banana/strawberry one. So here it is, we are sharing it with you. It is healthy and it is yummy. Ingredients
Preparation Mix all the ingredients together and enjoy I like to put all fruits or vegetables ingredients in a bag so I can freeze, they are ready at all times and we just have to add the water and juice to the blender for easy preparation. If you try it with your family and they like it, let us know.

I was provided with product and compensation for my time and honest opinions. So, 2013 is the year for me to become healthier. I am doing things that I had never though about before. So, I am not only losing weight, but I am changing the way I do things. I am exercising, I am eating healthier and I am involving my family on the changes. I am challenging myself to try new things and do more fun things. So when I heard about the color me rad 5k, I was very interested. Not only this is going to be my first official 5k, but also it is going to be a really fun one. In this race, you start the day with a white t-shirt and end up all full of color. It is for all ages, so I am motivating my son to race with me. It is a very fun way to get active I will be doing the one in Los Angeles on 05/15/13, but you can check the website to see if there are races near your hometown. Not only the races are fun but they sponsor a local non-profit organization as well. In California this year they are donating to the Special Olympics of Southern California. Disclosure: i was provided with a free ticket for the race, but all opinions are my own.
