All opinions are mine alone Just a couple of months ago, I found La Morena products at Vallarta Supermarkets, one of my favorite stores to buy Latino products. I like Vallarta because I can find some Colombian products and they also carry other Latino products that allow me to create recipes that remind me of those I used to enjoy at my grandmas house back in Colombia. Finding Colombian products is not always easy, so I have been trying to incorporate Mexican flavors into Colombia dishes. The flavor combinations end up being very tasty and since my son likes spicy food is easy to incorporate the Mexican products without having any complaints. Since I was craving arepas, I headed to Vallarta to get some flour to make some, and I bought some Jalapenos, Chipotle peppers and chorizo to create a Mexican style arepa. Using La Morena products that have the traditional Mexican flavor and are of great quality give your recipes recipes a traditional Latino flavor and will assure that your recipe is a success. Here is how I created this Colombian dish with Mexican flavor. Mexican Style Arepas. #VivaLaMorena #CollectiveBias Mexican Style ArepaIngredients

Last Saturday was a busy one, and one of the highlights of the day was attending The Taste of Mexico at La Plaza de Cultura y Artes, downtown Los Angeles. With a great weather, the event was full of delicious food and great drinks. This is the 4th edition of the Taste of Mexico and the event was sold out. For the first time ever, they had a Farmer's market picnic family event, which is great because you can enjoy good food and drinks with your family and friends. The event has participation from around 35 Mexican restaurants from Los Angeles area, showcasing their best dishes, drinks and desserts. But there was more than food. The festivities also included music, face painting and crafts. What a great way to spend the afternoon. I did not attend the night event this year, but I will make sure to clear my calendar for 2015, because this a cultural event that I do not only want my son to experience but also share with friends It is fun and a great way to experience Mexican culture and food without leaving Los Angeles.
