Last Saturday was a busy one, and one of the highlights of the day was attending The Taste of Mexico at La Plaza de Cultura y Artes, downtown Los Angeles. With a great weather, the event was full of delicious food and great drinks.

This is the 4th edition of the Taste of Mexico and the event was sold out. For the first time ever, they had a Farmer's market picnic family event, which is great because you can enjoy good food and drinks with your family and friends.

 The event has participation from around 35 Mexican restaurants from Los Angeles area, showcasing their best dishes, drinks and desserts. But there was more than food. The festivities also included music, face painting and crafts. What a great way to spend the afternoon.

I did not attend the night event this year, but I will make sure to clear my calendar for 2015, because this a cultural event that I do not only want my son to experience but also share with friends It is fun and a great way to experience Mexican culture and food without leaving Los Angeles.
