We love going to Disneyland and through the years we have mastered how to get the most of our days at the parks. We will be sharing those secrets with you, that way when you visit the parks you can save money and time and have a wonderful time with family and friends.
This post contains affiliated links, which means that if you buy any of the items from Amazon thru our links, you would be supporting our love for Disneyland. 1. Arrive to the parks before opening time
Arrive to the parks before opening time. Parking usually opens 1 hour before park opens. Always plan your parking and tram time. Arriving early also allows you to park near the elevators. Believe me when I tell you at the end of the day you will feel you cannot walk anymore and having your car near the elevator would be wonderful.
Arriving early also helps you ride some of the popular rides without long lines. Head over to Disney California Adventure for Guardians of the Galaxy or to Disneyland for Peter Pan for example. 2. Use the Disneyland Mobile App.
Use the Disneyland Mobile App: you can check waiting times of attractions, you can also check where the characters are to take pictures with them and even make dinning reservations.
If you have the picture photo pass you can get your pictures on the application almost right away to share with family and friends. Also if you have Max-Pass you can schedule your fast passes from the application without having to walk to the attraction. 3. Use Fast Passes
If you ge the Max-Pass you can get the Fast Passes from your phone

4. Take a break when is hot outside
When it is hot outside you can always refresh on different locations such as: Disneyland Story Presenting Great Moments with Lincoln in Main Street, the Golden Horseshoe, The Enchanted Tiki Room, and Main Street Cinema
Not only they have air conditioner or fans but on some of these locations you might also find food. There are some shows, movies or things you can do on each one while you cool off and take a break. 5. Use Single Rider Line
When possible use the single rider option, available only at a few attractions. You might be separated form your party when you ride, but it you do not mind that, you can save a lot of time in your lines.

6. Bring snacks and lunch
A lot of people do not know that you can bring food into the parks. Although I love Disney snacks and food there are times that I want to save time and money by bringing my own meals. You might splurge for certain treats at the park, but there are other items such as potato chips taste the same if you buy them at the store or at the park.
Bringing food not only can save you money, but also time. You can eat in line for a ride, you can eat while watching a show (if the theater allows food) and you can eat while watching a parade. There are also a couple of places in Downtown Disney that often Grab-and-Go meals, that way you can get a slice of pizza or a breakfast sandwich and then head to the parks. 7. Bring a reusable water bottle
You can get a free cup of water from most restaurants and refill your bottle there or you can refill your water at the water-fountains located all through out the park. You will be helping the environment too. We love out reusable water bottle because it keeps our water cooler for longer times.
8. Bring a a portable charger
Take a portable charger to keep your phone battery up, bring an extra battery for your camera. Take plenty of pictures. If you buy the Photo-Pass you will get the downloads of pictures from the rides and any other pictures taken. The Max-Pass includes downloads for the day as well.

I have never been to Disney World or Disneyland, but whenever I go, I want to make the most of it and I'll probably rely on a list like yours! Thanks.

Thanks for reading. You should plan a trip and visit. It is so much fun both for families with small kids or just for adults. If you ever made it, let me know and I can provide more advice.
