Some of the destinations and events mentioned on this post were complimentary or a media rate was extended as part of my attendance to the Social Media on the Sand–an invite-only conference held at Beaches Turks and Caicos.
Social Media on the Sand Conference that you can find in social media if you follow the hashtag #BeachesMoms is a conference that is held at one of the Beaches Resorts. I had the pleasure of attending at the Turks and Caicos Resort.
It’s an invite-only conference where influencers are hand chosen if they are the right fit. I am not sure I have any advice on how to get noticed, all I can tell you is to keep being you. Be authentic and post things you like. That will bring you engagement and will slowly grow your numbers and influence.
How much does it cost to attend? Although the conference is not free, after you pay the reduced fee that includes the all inclusive hotel and conference and buy your airline tickets, then everything is included. The conference fee is minimal compared to what it would cost to actually stay at Beaches Resort on your own.
Here it is more information about the Social Media on the Sand
The Social Media on the Sand event was scheduled for 4 days and 5 nights. Only one of those days was the official conference day, the rest of the days we had opportunities for networking and meeting the sponsors, but we had ample time to enjoy the resort, relax, and for those that brought their families, enjoy family time.
On Wednesday after the arrivals we had some playground fun during registration. We got to meet some of the sponsors, get some swag from them, and also take some pretty cool pictures.
After that we had some free time and then we got to enjoy the SEA THE FUTURE WELCOME PARTY. It was a great opportunity to meet more bloggers, enjoy some music, and also learn all about the the pillars of the Sandals Foundation, focusing on environmental awareness and preserving our surroundings as we "Sea the Future."
Day two was the day of the actual conference presentations. We all woke up early to gather in a room of amazing people at 8:30 am and then listen to very inspirational speakers and experts from Facebook, YouTube and much more.
This year's speakers were
After a delicious lunch and some more networking with some influencers we broke into sessions. We had given the opportunity to choose our sessions before hand, which it was great, because that way we knew the content was going to be interesting and helpful for us.
After a full day of learning it was time to get pampered. We visited the Beauty & the Beach and Health & Wellness Village. Picture a room full of experiences from the sponsors and get mini facials and massages. Also by appointment we were able to get our hair done by Dry Bar and our make up done by IT cosmetics.
That evening we got to experience the restaurants of the resort at our own leisure and then we had a fun at the DiscGLOW party. We all wore white and danced the night away while enjoying delicious desserts
The next morning was all about networking during the Match up & Mimosas event. Picture mimosas and vendors coming together by the beach. It was as fun as it sounds.
We had the afternoon free, but those with teens were invited to the Gen Z waterpark olympics. We also had the opportunity to go back to the Beauty & the Beach and Health & Wellness Village. I had my appointment for the hair and make up, and took advantage of the 30 min free photo shoot session Beaches Resorts offer. You get a photographer for 30 min and then you can buy pictures.
Then it was time for the Sesame Street Parade & Resort Beach Party. It was a very cute parade and they introduced Rosita as the newest character in the resort. I am super happy about that because she is the first bilingual character and she is a Latina.
We were also treated to a concert by country singer Hunter Hayes. And we had some free time to enjoy dinner with our friends (or families). I will write more about the restaurants in the resort, but they have adult only restaurants, so my friends and I decided to have a nice dinner at one of those.
The next morning we were welcomed to visit the Beauty & the Beach and Health & Wellness Village and then we had a great speaker joined us. Daymon John from Shark Tank TV show was there to give another motivational interview.
After that we went to the beach to enjoy the 5 Senses on the Sand. It was an opportunity to meet more sponsors while taking beautiful pictures at the beach. We had so much fun doing it.
Our last event of the conference was a super fun Willy Wonka's Splendiferous fun factory party. We all had colorful outfits and enjoyed dancing, food, and drinks.
For those of you that wonder if the price paid for the conference is worth it, the answer is yes, it is. Not only you get to network with amazing influencers, but you also get to experience a great 5 star all inclusive resort. I will be sharing more about the resort soon.
For now, I hope to get another invite, because I cannot wait to take my family to experience all the cool things Beaches Turks and Caicos have to offer. Special thanks to all the sponsors that made the conference possible

I have not been to a conference, but if I were to go, THIS is just the kind I'd like to attend. It looks like the perfect mix of work and fun.
