As a family that enjoys taking road trips, we are always looking for new places to travel and visit. Since I work full time and my son is now taking classes in college, we have to look for long weekends to visit places. For Thanksgiving break, we decided to travel to Tuolumne County, better known as the home for Yosemite National Park.
Most people travel to Yosemite and Tuolumne County during Spring or Summer, however I found out that traveling during Fall and Winter is a great time to visit. This is why:
The views
I am not saying that the view during summer is not amazing, but the views during the colder months is extra ordinary. All the fall colors on the trees plus the foggy, cloudy, rain feeling makes it look like a post card or out of one of the holiday Hallmark movies. It just makes you want to travel more and get a cup of hot cocoa and enjoy the peaceful views.
Snow
It depends of the area you visit, but even in lower elevation areas you can find some snow. Yeah, this means you should travel prepared with snow chains for your tires, but it also mean being able to build a snowman, play in the snow and get a great Christmas card picure
Food
If you travel for either Thanksgiving or Christmas you can find that local resorts, hotels and casinos have special menus for those occasions. It was so nice having a real Thanksgiving dinner without all the cooking and all the cleaning up after.
Less crowds
Imagine not having to wait in line to take a picture with the Sequoias and not having lots of people on your pictures? It sounds dreamy, right? During the warmer months of the years crowds can be too much to get a beautiful shot in the most popular areas. But during the colder months there are less crowds, it is easy to find good parking and it is easier to get amazing pictures as well.
Things to remember
To learn more and plan your next vacation visit Tuolumne County

I am all about minis but they have to be "legit" if you know what I mean. I purchased 2 Huda obsessions palettes for the same reason and love them.

I love the look of the Mac mini lipsticks, I always over pack on lipsticks and they take up most of my space so it's kind of a bonus if you can have them in miniature form

Recently I started to study the culture of countries with the help of gastronomic tours that perfectly reflect a lot about the country. Local cuisine can be extremely responsive in terms of revealing the atmosphere and spirit of the area. I advise you to read more about secret food tours. This can help you understand why it is worth traveling in general.

Once onboard the plane, legroom can be limited, and it's common for children to become bored when confined to their seats for extended periods. Furthermore, upon reaching your destination, you may need to rent a car to reach your desired locations.
