 Road trips are fun. We decided to drive up the coast of Central California towards Carmel By-The-Sea. The scenery during the trip is amazing so we knew we were going to have a good time. But as fun as road trips can be, they are also really tiresome. Unless you are able to stop several times to stretch your legs you will be in pain after the drive. We had the opportunity to drive the Kia Sorento SXL and we are very impressed with the car. Let me be honest here. I am not a car expert. I will not be discussing here specifics about the motor and horsepower. There are plenty of websites for that. I am going to be talking about how the car made our trip better and what we liked and disliked about the car.  Let me star with the obvious. The Kia Sorento SXL it is a sharp looking car. It looks luxurious and stylish. The seats are very comfortable and there is plenty of space between the seats for your legs. It has a third row of seats, which means that you can have 6-7 people on the car seating comfortably. However if you need trunk space you can fold the third row seats for luggage. One of my favorite features was the heated steering wheel and seats. We drove on a cold rainy day and I did not wanted to get out of the car because I was very comfortable in the warm seats. However my son was not too cold and he enjoying the fact that the climate temperature also has a cooling feature. I think that will also will come handy on summer days. The car drives very smooth. I could hardly feel the cracks on the freeways and it handled great by the mountains in Central California with enough power to go up the hills without having to step on the gas pedal. It also has a back window windshield wiper, that was very useful during the rain.  Another very helpful feature is the parking assist. When you are backing up has sensors that help you identify objects that you might have missed when looking around. It also has an 8 inch screen that shows you the images of the cameras in several angles to help you park in between the lines. The mileage was pretty good for a big car. It was an average of 28-30 miles per gallon. It has voice command and pretty cool features such as a navigator, road assistant, Pandora and even apps like sound hound to look up the song playing on the radio.  The only con we found on the car is that if in fact you have 7 passengers on the car, the luggage room on the trunk is small. If you are traveling with less people this is easily solved with folding the third row seats.  We will for sure miss driving the Kia Sorento SXL. My son named her "Caroline Silver". She was very comfortable, took us with comfort up and down the coast and kept us save during the rain. Although we got to test drive the car for a week, I can truly and honestly say that this is a car we would consider buying as our next vehicle. This is a great family car.
