I was provided with complementary tickets to the California Strawberry Festival, however all opinions expressed here are my own.
Once again at the city of Oxnard was home for the California Strawberry Festival. The day was hot, perfect for some strawberry drinks to refresh us. We also found lots of activities to take part one and off course we got to try delicious strawberry dishes.
1. The rides
If you are planning on taking your kids to the California Strawberry rest assured that they will have plenty of activities to be entertained with. Not only you can find games available but there are also carnival rides like the Silver Streak, Go Gator, Sky Fighter, Truckin USA, and more.
2. The Food Demostration and contest
Children’s Berry Time: Strawberry-themed activities for youngsters
Berry Blast off Recipe Contest Championship: contestants go head-to-head in a timed “Iron Chef” style culinary quest to prepare the ultimate strawberry dish Strawberry Smack down: Two chefs compete against one another and the clock in a thrilling contest where they must create a sensational strawberry dish Berry Best Hat Contest: Fashionistas showcase the ultimate in wearable berry bling. Cheer on contestants with the most outlandish and extraordinary berry bonnet.
3. The Food
The festival has more than 50 food booths to choose from. Fair style foods plus lots of strawberry dishes: strawberry nachos, strawberry pizza, strawberry funnel cake, strawberry chimichangas, deep-fried strawberries, berry kabobs, strawberry tamales, strawberry shortcake, strawberry beer, strawberry margaritas, strawberry smoothies, and even strawberry popcorn. 4. Shopping
The California Strawberry festival has around 200 artists and crafters from across the nation showcasing their original work: paintings, sculptures, ceramics, children’s toys, accessories, photography, textiles, outdoor furniture, jewelry, specialty foods, and more.
5. The strawberries
You can buy berries to take home and create yummy recipes at home. They also have chocolate covered strawberries. If you love strawberries you need to buy some.

Yesss, I would love to visit the California Strawberry Festival. Looks like so much fun and the strawberries look fresh and great! My kids would have a blast of fun I'm sure!

Oh we love strawberries and the food looks amazing. Maybe next year I can head that way. We are only 2 hours away

I did get to get out to the Strawberry Festival in Oxnard one time. I really did have a good time out there but it was so long ago and it seems like it was a whole different era. I know it wasn't though. I never got to try it when I was there but I really wanted to try that strawberry pizza. It looked amazing.

We love attending festivals in Colorado. I do not think we have a strawberry one here. Looks so fun. Our favorite one is the Peach festival! YUMMY!!!
