The War With Grandpa Virtual Press Junket

A couple of weeks ago I sat down for The War With Grandpa Cast virtual Junket. We interviewed Jane Seymour, Cheech Marin, Laura Marano, Oakes Fegley; and the family of executive producers Tre, Marvin, and Rosa Peart

The cast is a fun as the movie is. Here are some things we learned during the interviews

Interview with Oakes Fegley and Laura Marano

Oakes told us that when he first found out he was going to be in a movie with De Niro he was intimitaded and excited at the same time. He also told us that even though the movie is full of pranks, they cast was not really into playing pranks on themselves.  Oh and he really enjoyed filming in Atlanta and his favorite spot to visit was the aquarium.

​Laura really loved how green and beautiful Atlanta was, she enjoyed walking at the nature parks. She also told us that was a little intimidated initially to be working with Uma Thurman, but she had a lot of fun. She really enjoyed filming a scene where she is shhhhhhhhing her sister back and forth.

Interview with The Peart Family (Tre/Marvin/Rosa)

The Peart family produced the movie. All was the idea of Tre. When he was just 8 years old he came to his parents and told them he thought the book should be made into a movie. Dad was leaving on a business trip and when he read the pitch he realized it was a great idea.

They knew the book had to be adapted for the movie but one non negotiable part that needed to be included was the  the scene of grandfather and grandson going on a fishing trip.

They want everyone to take the message that any obstacle live puts in front of you, if you choose love, ad the end all will be fine.
