I love going to Disneyland, and although I like rides and the characters, I can tell you I spend most of my time at the parks enjoying food and drinks. So when I heard about this book, I knew I had to get a copy to recreate some of the delicious drinks at home.
With travel still discouraged and uncertainty raging throughout the country, Disney fans are guaranteed to go wild for this new book, with more than 100 recipes for park-goers’ favorite coffees, teas, milkshakes, slushies, mocktails, and cocktails that’ll bring familiarity, comfort, and joy to home kitchens this fall and winter.
Here it is one recipe from the book for you to take a pick...
Jedi Mind Trick
Oga’s Cantina, Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios
This certainly is the drink you are looking for, no Jedi mind trick there! The grapefruity drink was named after the mystical protectors and practitioners of the Force, whose one great desire was to balance the powers of the galaxy. If you are looking for an out-of-this-world glass for this drink, try checking your local thrift stores. What’s one person’s trash is another person’s treasure—and what was one person’s 1990s cup might be your new Jedi Mind Trick glass!
2 ounces grapefruit-rose vodka
11⁄2 ounces Falernum (see recipe below)
1 ounce white grape juice
1⁄2 ounce blue curacao
1⁄4 ounce lime juice
1⁄8 teaspoon grapefruit bitters
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Seal and shake, then strain over crushed ice in a large martini glass.
