I was provided with a phone to review. All opinions are my own.
When my son started taking public transportation to go to his classes, I knew it was the moment he needed a phone. Although only 13 at the time, he was in a dual program taking college classes and riding the bus. I knew we needed to stay connected with him and be able to communicate in case he missed the bus.
Initially he got a phone that it was pretty much for calling and texting, but off course he wanted something better. He is only 15 and I am not sure he needs the latest smart phone out there, but I do want him to stay connected and be able to play on his phone as well. So when I heard that TCL and Verizon were coming with a new affordable phone that has 5G connectivity plus impressive display quality, I knew we needed to get a hold of one to review and see if it is indeed all that was promised. The phone in a nutshell:
So far we are very impressed. Although not all areas have 5G available at this time, when we were in Los Angeles area this week, we were able to see how fast the connectivity is when you are actually connected to 5G.
I think what I like the most is the price and the sleek design. I think my son loves the battery life and the display screen that allows him to play some of his games. So far, we are very impressed and we recommend it as a phone for a teen or someone that wants a good looking phone but in a budget.
