During our mini vacation at Carmel by-the-sea, the amazing staff at the Hofsas House Hotel, recommended that we had dinner at the Beach House Restaurant at Lovers Point. We were headed that way after driving on the beautiful scenic 17 mile drive to visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
The restaurant is located at Lovers Point in Monterey Bay. It has plenty of parking available near by and the view from the restaurant is breath taking.
You start your dinner with some fresh warm bread with butter.
We ordered the Feast of Lanterns FireCracker Shrimp as appetizer: my son is a sea food lover and he really enjoyed the crispy shrimp with spicy and sweet Thai aioli.
The environment of the restaurant is suitable for either a romantic celebration or for a family meal. They have indoor seating as well as a patio seating with heaters to keep you warm as the night gets colder.
For our dinner we had Grilled Salmon Filet (wild rice pilaf, sautéed spinach, lemon beurre blanc) and Bacon-Wrapped Meatloaf (smashed yukon gold potatoes, carrots, sautéed mushrooms, green beans, mushroom sauce, onion jam, crispy fried onions), They were both very tasty and prepared to perfection. I had never had bacon-wrapped meatloaf and I can recommend it for both kids and adults.
Couples and families were seating enjoying very relaxed and nice environment and as the day as getting to an end you can observe the beautiful sunset through the windows. You can also see shinning light all across the bay.
For dessert we chose the Creme Brulee that was very rich and creamy
The service was great, our waitress recommended the best dishes after we told her what we enjoy and if you are a wine drinker they have a great selection of local wines to enjoy.
