I was invited to attend the Spies in Disguise press junket and world premiere but all opinions, grammatical errors and typos are my own. What are you doing Christmas day with the family? I have an idea, after opening presents, head over to the theater and watch the super really fun movie Spies in Disguise. Keep reading and find out why you should see the movie during opening weekend. About the movieSuper spy Lance Sterling (Will Smith) and geeky scientist Walter Beckett (Tom Holland) are polar opposites. Lance is cool, debonair, and lethal. Walter is not. Walter is awkward, kind, and sweet. And smart. Super smart. But weird. When a series of unfortunate (and hilarious) events occur, Walter and Lance suddenly have to work together to save the world. Watch a trailerDid we like it?I have to admit I was very skeptical about the movie. It is the first Fox movie that I have seen since the merge with Disney and I wasn't sure what to expect. I am not a fan of spies movies and I was thinking it was going to be the typical spy action movie, James Bond for kids movie. I was very surprised when the movie started. I really loved the humor and jokes in the movie. I watched the movie during the World Premiere surrounded by adults and I can tell you we all were laughing and really enjoyed the the plot and the creativity on the cleverly comedy happening during the movie. I cannot wait to watch this movie again with my son when it opens Christmas Day. If you are planning to take the kids, I would advice to take older kids, around 6 or older. The content might not be good for younger kids. Interview with the directorsI was part of a round table interview with directors Nick Bruno and Troy Quane. They told us that they both partner well as directors and complemented each other. They said the film was a bromantic comedy, with K-drama (Korean Drama films) style. They always had in mind Will Smith in the main role and they were lucky that Will Smith loved the message of the movie and wanted to be part of the film. We also got the interview actor Masi Oka, who plays the villain Kimura in the film. Although he plays a villain, he says it the movie is a great family film because it has an awesome message and it would make a great movie time for families to watch the film together.
