We are all fans for real life stories, especially when they are related to sports. Just think Cool Runnings, McFarland and Million Dollar Arm to name a few. The Walt Disney Company knows how to tell a story. Sports are no exception. I think they know these real life stories are very inspirational and will bring a tear or two to the audience. About the movie“Safety” is a drama inspired by the empowering story of former Clemson University football safety Ray McElrathbey (Reeves), a young man facing a series of challenging circumstances, whose dedication and persistence help him to triumph over repeated adversities. Aided by his teammates and the Clemson community, he succeeds on the field while simultaneously raising and caring for his 11-year-old brother Fahmarr (Mixon). Watch a trailerDid we like it?We really did. When the movie started, it was a bit slow for me to get into the real story. I hadn't watch the trailer or read the productions notes. I pretty much didn't know anything about the movie, and in a way I am really glad I didn't, because I was overcome with emotions watching the story evolve. Disney has done it again. It brought tears to my eyes, I was sobbing for the majority of the film, probably because it is such a good story and brings back the values of family into our lives. What a great reminder that we do not need to be related to become a family and support each other and what a beautiful and emotional message this movie has. I think Disney did an great job telling the story while keeping us all entertained. It is very realistic and that is probably the part that makes you emotional. failure is not an option in this movie and that brings together the community. If that is the message that we need to end 2020 and get ready for the changes we are all expecting for 2021 for our nation. The movie message just bring us hope that surrounding ourselves with a great community we can all come together for the greater good. “Safety” to Debut on Disney+ in December 11th
