Rubio's Coastal Grill & Celebrity Chef Richard Blais Launch Street Tacos

​One of my favorite seafood places, Rubio’s Coastal Grill has teamed up with celebrity chef Richard Blais and is serving new chef-driven street tacos

​These are the 3 new Rubio’s and Blais Tacos:

• Hula Hula Carnitas: This taco features pork marinated in a rich blend of gochujang, achiote, and garlic, wrapped in a banana leaf and slow-cooked, creating tender, juicy meat with an authentic Hawaiian Kalua flavor. It’s served on a stone ground corn tortilla with mango salsa and garnished with black sesame seeds, cotija cheese and a slice of lime. It’s a subtly sweet mash up of Hawaiian and Mexican flavors.
• The Blaised & Glazed taco: Starts with Rubio’s crispy chicken tossed in Frank’s RedHot® sauce, the secret ingredient used in the original Buffalo wings created in Buffalo, NY in 1964. It’s served on a warm flour tortilla with crisp shredded cabbage, homemade ranch sauce, and house pickled celery and jalapeno, garnished with cotija cheese and celery seed. A tangy, zesty taco twist on your favorite Buffalo-flavored chicken
• Ancho Po-Boy Shrimp: Named after New Orleans’ most famous sandwich, the Po-Boy Shrimp taco features flash fried ancho-lime shrimp with Cajun aioli, served on a warm flour tortilla with crisp shredded cabbage, salsa fresca and a slice of lime. It’s a modern take on classic New Orleans street food.

​You can order the tacos as individual choices or even enjoy the Rubio's x Blais Street Taco Plate that comes with the three flavorful street tacos (of your choice) and comes served with warm tortilla chips and house black beans.
