As homeschoolers we have always looked for places where we can take my son (and now my niece and nephew) to learn while having fun. The California Science Center is one of the museums we love to visit because it has so much to offer in terms on learning and the best part is that the entry is free. (some experiences have a fee, and we always do a donation to keep the project going). The California Science Center is a very fun, kid-friendly museum in Los Angeles area, and this are the reasons we love to visit it: 1. Learning while having funWhen the kids enter the California Science Center they enter a world of fun while learning. Interactive exhibits that will teach them about eco-systems, life, space and much more. The kids can touch things and learn how they work, they can ask questions during the talks and the best part is that they are learning without realizing it. During the pandemic, the museum is taking extra precautions to keep everyone safe, which is great because the kids still can interact while staying healthy. 2. Special exhibitsThe California Science Center has special exhibits (normally those have a fee) that you are able to visit for a limited time. During our visit we saw The Art of the Brick and it was so cool to be able to see amazing pieces built with Legos. 3. Seeing the Space Shuttle EndeavourProbably one of our favorite parts of visiting the California Science Center is seeing the Space Shuttle Endeavor in person, I mean it is breathtaking to see it in person. It is also great to learn about the space missions and space during the exhibit. 4. Great way to learn about the Eco-systemsThrough the museum you are able to move from desert, to ocean and learn about the ecosystems, you can even touch some sea animals and see how flooding happens at desert areas. So much fun and learning. 5. The educational IMAX moviesFor an additional fee, you can watch IMAX movies about different topics of science. They are about 45 minutes long and a great way to have the kids learn while watching a movie. Important things to know about the California Science Center
