RALPH BREAKS THE INTERNET arrives in theaters everywhere on November 21st!Did you know that when “Wreck-It Ralph” opened on Nov. 2, 2012, it turned in the highest opening weekend ever for a Walt Disney Animation Studios film at the time of release? Yes, the movie was that good and I am so happy with having Ralph, Penelope and Felix back in addition to new amazing characters. A couple of months ago, I was invited to attend an early press day for the sequel Ralph Breaks the Internet. Here it is recap of all the things we learned that day. Thank you, Disney, for inviting me to “Ralph Breaks the Internet” early media day. We arrived early in the morning to the Walt Disney Animation Studios building in Burbank. After check in we got pictures opportunities. How cool is the Ralph and Venelope statue? Rich Moore, Phil Johnston, and Clark SpencerWe watched clips from the film. It was not finished yet. After that we had some Q&A with director Rich Moore, director/wirter Phil Johnston and producer Clark Spencer. They told us that they were thinking for a while about making the sequel but they did not have a great story so they kept postponing it. It was not until they came up with the idea of taking the main characters out of their small arcade and into the metropolis of the internet, that they moved forward with the idea. StoryWe then had another presentation where we heard about the story creation. So many details to take into account. Ralph Breaks the Internet sees Ralph and Vanellope in a quest to save Vanellope’s game, Sugar Rush, by venturing into the world wide web – in the film, a literal world – to find a replacement game piece to ship to Litwak’s arcade before the game gets unplugged for good. The internet was a threat to the game. It was going to change their way of life so Ralph wanted to wreck it. The new characters are super cool. Yesss is an algorithm and she is going to be a very important part of the story. She is part of website known as “BuzzTube" The internetWe then talked with art director of environments Matthias Lechner, head of environments Larry Wu, and technical supervisor Ernie Petti. They told us about all the details of creating the world of the internet as a city for the movie. Wait until you see what a great metropolis they created. Comfy clothes princessesThere is on scene in the movie that is probably going to be my favorite. Vanellope meeting all the classic Disney princesses. The main challenge was to make sure the princesses looked like they belonged in the same world. They are also wearing pretty cool comfy clothes. I can't wait or the line to be available at Disney Stores. I really want Sleeping Beauty t- shirt that says “Nap Queen" About the movieVideo game bad guy Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) and fellow misfit Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman) navigate the vast and dynamic world wide web in search of a replacement part to save Vanellope’s game, Sugar Rush Watch a trailerLike WRECK-IT RALPH on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/WreckItRalph/ Follow WRECK-IT RALPH on Twitter: https://twitter.com/wreckitralph Follow WRECK-IT RALPH on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/wreckitralph/ Visit the official RALPH BREAKS THE INTERNET website here: http://movies.disney.com/ralph-breaks-the-internet-wreck-it-ralph-2
