Pesto Eggs

I finally tried the famous TikTok recipe Pesto Eggs. ​The eggs are fried in a layer of pesto sauce and served on a crusty toast. They are off course great for breakfast and brunch, but we have been also enjoying them for dinner. They are delicious and very simple to make.

This delicious and easy meal features Barilla Creamy Genovese Pesto Sauce. It is a very easy meal to prepare and we love its quick cook time. In just a few minutes you have a delicious breakfast!

Ingredients

• 3 eggs
• Toasted bread
• Red crushed pepper
• Barilla Creamy Genovese Pesto
• 1 teaspoon butter

Preparation

1. Add butter to a pan
2. Add Barilla Creamy Genovese Pesto
   
3. Add 3 eggs
4. Let the eggs cook on the bed of Barilla Creamy Genovese Pesto
5. Add some red crushed pepper
6. Serve eggs over toasted bread
7. Enjoy!

​We have always been a pesto fan and we normally use it on pastas, I have done pesto sauce from scratch before but as you know as a busy working mom, I would rather just find a product that I trust that is good quality and good flavor. 

So when I discovered Barilla Creamy Genovese Pesto sauce I knew it was going to be a great addition to my pantry and we were going to be making a lot of recipes with it.

​One of the best things of this Barilla Creamy Genovese Pesto is that you do not need to heat it before using it, which means that just out the jar you could use it as a veggie dip, sandwich spread, or even just sauce for your pasta.

My son really enjoyed the flavor, he is a foodie in training and he described it as: " smooth, creamy and very savory".
