When I was younger I was all about night life, going to clubs and parties. As I get older, I enjoy more cozy outtings, where I can connect with my husband while having a great time. One of our favorite places for date night is the Hollywood Bowl, specially during the summer.
We usually pack a picnic bag and get on the motorcycle down the 101 to the Hollywood Bowl. We leave early because we want to avoid traffic and because we like to have a picnic at the different locations while enjoying some champagne and sparkling water.
The variety of concerts offered at the Hollywood Bowl, allow us to choose things that we both like, and we try to alternate between his choices and my choices or we find something we both really love. Being under the starts, enjoying a great show in a safe place is very romantic. I totally recommend looking into one of the concerts and planning a date night at the Hollywood Bowl, you will be thanking me later! The food
You can enjoy the picnic areas before the concert. The Hollywood Bowl opens a few hours before the scheduled performance to allow people to use the picnic areas and tables. Pack a picnic basket and a bottle of your favorite beverage. You read that right. You can take food and drinks, even alcoholic drinks to the Hollywood Bowl.
You can also choose to buy food at the Hollywood Bowl. They have a variety of choices, not only junk food, although you can find a burger and nachos is that is what you like. But the restaurants offer gourmet food. We were recently tasting their menu and it is delicious, one of our favorites were the Pork Ribs. You might want to try the Food and Wine at The Bowl. This year the culinary program is brought to life by James Beard Award-winning chef Suzanne Goin and Caroline Styne (of celebrated local restaurants Lucques, a.o.c., Tavern, and The Larder).
