New LEGOLAND® Castle Hotel At LEGOLAND® California Resort Now Open

LEGOLAND® called all Calling all Knights, Princesses and Wizards and we answered. We were super happy when we got the invite to attend the media preview for the grand opening of the new LEGOLAND® Castle Hotel. 

My son, a LEGO lover could not believe that we were going to be one of the first people to see the hotel and spend the night on it. We arrived early to enjoy the park. Did you know that if you stay at the LEGOLAND Castel Hotel you get early admission into the park? That was a great surprise for us.

After enjoying the park we went to check out the room. We were lucky to get the Wizards room, however, all of the rooms are decorated with amazing details. They are all just too cute. 

The Rooms

• In the Royal Princess rooms, the princess is joining forces with her jester friend to sneak into the grand tournament and compete with the knights.
• There are least six LEGO® models in each room including one that guards the treasure chest at the entrance
  
• Similar to LEGOLAND® Hotel, guests have to find all the clues to open the treasure chest and earn their treasure
  
• Each room can sleep up to five people -- The adults will have a king-size bed and every children’s sleeping area includes a bunk bed plus a trundle bed and their own TV
  
• A difference guests may notice from LEGOLAND Hotel is that every room is premium themed with décor stretching throughout from the carpeting, the walls, the LEGO models and the iconic designs in the bedrooms
  
• In the children’s sleeping area, there are play tables with LEGO to build with and curtains for additional privacy • Rooms facing the courtyard on the first floor will have enclosed patios 
  
• In the Knights and Dragons rooms, the knights are on a mission to defend the king’s castle and protect his treasure.
• In the Magic Wizard rooms, the wizards are concocting potions and fireworks for the grand tournament.
• Every room has a children’s sleeping area which includes bunk beds, a trundle bed, their own television, LEGO building station and shooting stars illuminating on the ceiling. Every adult sleeping area has an ornate head board with LED lights which could resemble a stained glass window, a canopy sparking with twinkling lights or shelves filled with potions and a magical bubbling illuminated cauldron.

The Restaurant

The Dragon’s Den is a full-service sit down restaurant. 

• An open kitchen design allows guests to watch chefs preparing their locally sourced food
  
• Enjoy entertainers, LEGO models and tasty seafood, pasta and steak options • Breakfast is included with each guest’s stay and includes made-to-order items and buffet
  
• In Dragon’s Den Restaurant and Bar, guests can listen to a self-playing piano, enjoy game-topped dining tables, sit on one of many “audible” chairs and enjoy a California wine or other beverage

Things kids are going to love

​The Royal Courtyard immerses children in a fairy tale of their own creation with multiple play areas for different age groups, a giant movie screen, resort-style pool with interactive water features and hot tub and a tented stage for live plays and shows. Interactive elements throughout LEGOLAND Castle Hotel include a knock-knock door, a royal throne that makes silly noises, LEGO caricatures to build upon, a self-playing piano and a slide from the first floor to the lobby

• In the Grand Hall, you are greeted by a fantastical LEGO Magic Wizard. Towering in the center of the hall, he is balancing on a magical pile of LEGO spell books, conjuring up a magnificent sparking chandelier of magical LEGO elements – wands, books, potions and candles
• Behind the reception desk, young guests will discover many mysterious trinkets – items left over from previous LEGO royalty such as swords, books, wands and magic crystals 
• Kids can enjoy a built-in slide that will come down into the lobby from the first floor above checking level and there’s also a dungeon underneath that can be accessed by a secret opening
•  After an exciting day in the Park, families can come explore the Courtyard where they can see an original play or musical on the Castle Courtyard Stage, experience shows at the pool featuring the “Lady of the Lake” or watch a movie on our outdoor screen
• Kids of all ages can play and get out some energy in the LEGO® DUPLO® play area for the younger kids or in a complete play yard with slides right next to the pool area
• ENHANCED POOL AREA: Zero entry pool featuring interactive water play features and hot tub.
• Castle Pool Bar & Grille will offer smoothies, sandwiches and salads prepared fresh to order 
• Interactive stories in the Dragon’s Den for dinner entertainment, interactive games in the Dragon’s Den in the morning to excite the kids before going into the Park and interactive experiences such as Knight School and Fairy Hide and Seek
• Princess costume character, Knight costume character, and Wizard costume characters are available for meet and greets.
