Neposmart Intelligent Garage Controller and Camera - Review

Although I received a camera to facilitate this review, all opinions expressed are my own.

At any given time, you know your house will be unattended. You leave your house either for vacation or for a birthday party and no one is watching your house. Perfect occasion for burglars to come and pay a visit and take your stuff. It has happened to us. We have dogs, but we still want to know what is going on and we want to make sure the house is safe all the time.

So when, I heard about the Neposmart Intelligent Garage Controller and Camera I knew I wanted to have onw (maybe more, one for each entrance at the house) and see how it compared to other home security cameras. This is what I can tell you...

Once you open the package you are going to find out the camera comes a lot of cool things

1. Wall mounting 
2. Base power 
3. Magnetic Switches (for garage controller)
4. Ethernet cable
5. Instructions
6. WiFi antenna

You might need to get a longer power adapter (I placed mine on the ceiling) 

The installation and set up process was pretty easy. You plug the camera, download the Neposmart App on your iphone (also available for androids)  or computer and then you have an operating camera with tilt function. This means that from your phone you can zoom and control the view angles for a better look.

One really cool feature of the camera is that it has a built-in speaker and microphone. I can say hello to my fury babies while on vacation and if the house-sitter has a question they can also ask through the camera. How cool is that?



Another awesome feature is that you do not need to create any accounts and do not need to pay for any service subscription. This means you do not share your information with anyone and your videos are not in the cloud or accessible by anyone else but you.

The camera can also be attached to your garage controller, and will let you know if you forgot to close your garage door and you will be able to close it wherever you are. Talk about safety there!



Leave the house is now easier, knowing that we have security cameras and that I can check how the dogs are doing with the house-sitter. Time to plan a vacation!
