Is your dog shaking and scratching its head? My dear Nala was. I knew it was not fleas. But she keep itching behind her ears. In the past some of our German Shepherds had ear mites and once I looked into her ears I knew what she had.
Ear mite is when a dog has Otodectes cynotis (parasite infection) in the ear canal. These tiny eight-legged parasites can cause pain, inflammation, and irritation.

Prevention of Ear Mites
To make sure the ear mites do not return make sure to do a routine ear cleaning once a month. That can inhibit the presence of ear mites and re-infestation.

Thank you for sharing. I like to find natural ways to help people and animals whenever possible and not rely on medications unless necessary.

Thanks for reading. I love using natural remedies both in my family and my fury babies. I do not like putting chemicals on them.

I add 1 drop off tea tree oil to 10 drops of coconut oil too. It helps stop reinfestation I would my dogs East daily with this solution but just do a coin buds into the solution and go down into the ear canal after wiping the East glad and other areas first. If necessary use another cotton bud soaked in the solution. I also use a pipette to put drops of the oil into the ear canal. I do this for seven days and then once a month to make sure there ear mites don't return.
