Disney invited me to attend the Red Carpet event. All opinions are my own. I remember back in 1998 when I went to the movies and watched Mulan. It was probably one of the first animated movies that made me feel empowered and thought me that I could accomplish everything I wanted, as long as I worked hard for it. Let's forward back to 2020, and how happy I was when I got the email inviting me to the Red Carpet Premiere in Los Angeles. I am happy because I get to attend, but also because right now both in my daily 9-5 work and on my blogging world I am being successful and I am still motivated to work hard because I have known that hard works pays off. Preparing for the red carpetThere are a few things to think about when you get an invite to a red carpet. One of the first things to plan is the dress. For this movie I wanted something that could be considered Disney Bounding without being too much. I thought about a Chinese qipao, or maybe a red embroidered dress, or even a black velvet dress with a dragon on it. Then I found the perfect dress for me. It is pink to represent the Magnolia Tree in the movie. Most people think that the movie shows Cherry Blossom Trees, but it is actually a Magnolia Flower Tree and that was the look I went for. What do you think? Then you think about hair and make up. This time I went for the straight sleek look with the hair. For make up I just wanted to have a very natural look, with nude lipstick color. The red carpet and after partyIt was time for the red carpet and Hollywood Blvd was ready for it. the white tents covered te streets so the stars could walk the red carpet and the attendees could take pictures When it was time to start the movie, we headed to the Dolby Theater and then director Nikki Caro told us a bit of how much this movie means and called the cast to the stage We screened the movie. I will save my review for the future, but all I can say it is a masterpiece. After the movie it was time for the after party. Food, drinks, photo booths and craft activities. All was so much fun, but I really enjoyed seeing the costumes from the movie on display. As far as the cast goes, I was able to get a glimpse of Tzi Ma and Ming-Na Wen and also Rosalind Chao I will have a movie review soon for you, for now, just make sure you get your tickets for opening weekend so you can be one of the first ones to see it!
