Mickey Mouse Inspired Marshmallow Treats

You know I love Disney a lot, and I have been missing going to the parks a lot, but I understand we need to stay home safe until the health crisis ends. My way to keep the Disney spirit at home is to create Disney inspired recipes at home. Here it is a very easy to make recipe and it is as delicious as the rice crispy treats you can find inside the parks.

Ingredients

• 6 Cups of Crispy Rice Cereal
  
• 1 Full Bag of Mini Marshmallows
  
• ¼ Cup Butter
  
•  1 Tsp Vanilla
  
•  Melting Chocolate 

Preparation

1. Melt butter and marshmallows. Fully melt the butter and then add in the marshmallows. Stir constantly until the marshmallows are just melted and then remove from heat and add vanilla.
   
2. Add the melted marshmallow mixture to the crispy rice cereal.
   
3. Stir gently, but ensure all the ingredients are well coated in the marshmallows. Make sure you combine the cereal and marshmallow mixture quickly, before it firms up.
   
4. Press into a greased 9x13in pan. Very gently press the mixture into a pan. If the mixture is pressed into the pan with too much pressure, the treats will end up hard and dense.
   
5. Once set, use a cookie cutter to cut out the desired shape.
   
6. Place on waxed paper and decorate!
   
7. Melt the chocolate in 30 second increments, stirring frequently. Once melted, drizzle on top of the treats.
   
8. Before the chocolate sets be sure to add any sprinkles you would like to include.
