MEET ELIJAH KELLEY (“SUNNY”) AND MEREDITH ANNE BULL (“DAWN”) from the movie strange magic #Strangemagic

My son and I had the opportunity to meet and interview  Elijah Kelley (“Sunny”) and Meredith Anne Bull (“Dawn”) and we were very impressed with how nice they are. They are both down to earth and friendly. The interview, mostly done by junior reporters took place at the Disney Studios Building and the stars were warm and welcoming.

You might recognize Elijah Kelly from Hairspray. Red Tails and Lee Daniels' The Butler. He is an actor, singer and dancer. Elijah's character, Sunny is an elf that is in love with Marianne’s sister, Dawn. Sunny is funny and a very good friend, but Dawn cannot see Sunny  pass the friend zone. Sunny ends up being brave and fearless as he tries to rescue Dawn.


Meredith Anne Bull has been in the movie Good Intentions and Harold. She is an actress and singer. Meredith's character in the movie, Dawn is a fairy princess, and Marianne’s little sister. She is really flirtatious and only sees Sunny as a friend.

My son, Nicolas, was in charge of the interview questions for the blog and here are his notes (not all questions were asked my him, there were other junior reporters)

Question: What was your favorite part of the movie
Elijah: The intensity of Bob King. 
Meredith: The music

Question: What was your favorite song in the movie
Elijah: Three little birds
Meredith: The little birds

Question: How do you relate to your character in the movie
Elijah: He is tough and even though he has obstacles he never gives up, he does not let anything stop him.
Meredith: Dawn cares a lot about family and loves to sing. Also she likes hanging out with friends

Question: What is your favorite character in the movie
Elijah: Mine off course (Sunny)
Meredith: Dawn (her character)

Question; What did you like about working in an animated film
Elijah: The freedom to create your character
Meredith:She was really intimidated at first, but since everyone was so nice it was easy to work with everyone.

Question for Elijah: What is the favorite actor to play voices in animated films. 
Answer: Antonio Banderas

The movie has a great strong message: Everyone deserves to be loved. You should head to theaters either tomorrow for opening day or in the next couple of weeks, because this is a movie that everyone is the family will enjoy and it has an awesome soundtrack.
