This was a better week. I want to thank all of you for your lovely comments and well wishes.
We are finally getting better. All of us are still sick but recovering. Last week I got to go to the Zoo for my son school filed trip. It was interesting having 6 kids under my care at he zoo. But it was great to be outside and have my step count increase. I just think I have to find a walk parter. I enjoy more walking when I am with others (even when it was with kids. LOL) I have slow down on my diet soda drinking and I am drinking more water. I am using crystal light or others flavors for my water, but at least is water. My son and hubby leaves this week to visit my father in law, and I will be by myself for 3 weeks. I hope that I can stick to my plan while they are away. One of my plans while they are away is to clean and organize the house and also clean up our pantry. Hubby tends to buy junk so I want to have great food when they get back. If you want to suggest ideas if healthy snack I am ready for suggestions. Have a great week and thanks for ready

I won't lie to you, but Crystal Light is one of the ways I weened off soda. I really wasn't too excited about the flavor of water and I needed something. It really helped me. I say do what works for you. Don't let others dissuade you. Health happens over time and as you do this longer you will start to gravitate to the healthier things, but that does NOT happen overnight. kwim?

I'm working on kicking my Diet Coke habit, as well. I figure my first step should be cutting BACK to one per day and then I can cut it out. That way, it's not sitting in my fridge mocking me.

When I crave soda, I drink Perrier lemon water. I find after cutting down the sugar in my diet, it's not so much the soda that I miss but the fizz. It's a nice treat for me now and I'm at the point now where soda is too syrupy for me so I don't have those cravings anymore.

I gave up soda a while back, and only drink water. I really like water with cucumber slices in it - very tasty :)

Glad you are starting to feel better. I started with crystal light also. I do better at losing weight, eating healthy, working out when my husband is away, haha.

I say that slow transitions really are the best. When you try to do too much too fast you wind up getting burned out. I wish you the best in the coming weeks and keep it up!!

I still use Crystal Light and feel with moderation, it's better than soda. Embrace the time you have to focus on yourself and that should help. At least it helps me when I have all the time in the world to feel better, do what I want and exercise when I want. I opt for almonds, raisins and sunflower seeds for my snacks at the moment and I try to avoid buying junk food for the kids to avoid temptation.

Crystal Light is a great way to get water in when you are not used to drink so much so bravo!!! I use it to on those days that I just can't drink one more ounce of regular water.
