Maleficent: Mistress of Evil movie review

MALEFICENT: MISTRESS OF EVIL arrives in theaters everywhere on October 18th!

As with any sequel, there is always a chance you are not going to like the new movie. Disney has been awesome at sequels but I was not sure what they could do with a new Maleficient  story. I am glad I was wrong and they actually came out with a cool story.

About the movie

Aurora’s impending marriage to Prince Philip is cause for celebration in the kingdom of Ulstead and the neighboring Moors, as the wedding serves to unite the two worlds. When an unexpected encounter introduces a powerful new alliance, Maleficent and Aurora are pulled apart to opposing sides in a Great War, testing their loyalties and causing them to question whether they can truly be family. “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” stars Angelina Jolie, Elle Fanning, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Sam Riley, Harris Dickinson, Ed Skrein, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple, Lesley Manville and Michelle Pfeiffer. The film is directed by Joachim Rønning from a story by Linda Woolverton, written by Linda Woolverton and Noah Harpster & Micah Fitzerman-Blue and produced by Joe Roth, Angelina Jolie and Duncan Henderson. Jeff Kirschenbaum, Matt Smith, Michael Vieira and Linda Woolverton are executive producers.

Did we like it?

We did. The story is actually really good and it keeps you entertained the whole movie. I always say you know your kids, so I would recommend the movie for kids over 8 years old. It does have some violence, so I want to warn you in case you want to take your little ones.

As far as villains go, I think Michelle Pfeiffer did an amazing job as being the villain of the movie, probably my favorite characters.
