Nala is a rescued dog. She, as any of my other rescued dogs has separation anxiety. On our case it means she is an escape artist and she will run to explore around every time she gets a chance. If she leaves the house, she wanders and wanders. We are lucky that we have noticed she is not in the house right away, but I am always concern about her leaving without anyone noticing.
When I heard about the Whistle GPS tracker for dogs, I was super excited to get one to review. It was the tech equipment that was going to be able to give me some piece of mind that I could find her in case she decides to go explore the neighborhood. It was also a great tool to keep her safe during our walks.
Nala had a great time running free at the dog park without me being worried about her running away (a behavior we are working on), and I also enjoyed my walks around the neighborhood with her. Our next step is going to be walking in the mountains. I feel that I can know where she is at if she decides to wander a little bit. The device attaches to your dog collar, and it is very simple to use.
I also enjoy knowing how many miles she is walking and the pace she is walking at. (Hey, it helps me keep track of my miles too). I love how easy is to see all the information on the phone app. You can see location, miles, and you can even get text with your dog location. The app also reminds you about medications and vet appointments if you set those reminders on your settings. Giveaway

I could use one of those trackers. My little Peanut takes off running every time I take his lead off to let him get exercise.

This is a great tracker for dogs and helps you keep track of them. I like that you can know where they are at and don't have to rely on someone taking them to the vet and scanning their microchip if they get lost.

This is such a wonderful tool! I don't have any pets at the moment, but this is certainly something I would look into using if I ever get any again. I really could have used this when my dogs went missing years ago!

I've never heard of this but it is a fantastic concept! My dog is also a rescue and I never thought about what I would do if he wandered

This is such a great product! Love that it not only tracks where your pets are, but how active they are. I don't have a dog of my own at the moment, but when I do, I'll definitely want to try the Whistle to make sure she/he is safe and staying healthy :-)

Oh my goodness! This is so cool! I wish we would have had this when my dog was much younger. He's too old to run away but he used to go on mini adventures all the time when nobody was paying attention. Thankfully we have some awesome neighbors who would always bring him home haha.
