When I found out that I was pregnant we started looking for names right away. We wanted to pick 3 female and 3 male names to narrow it down once we knew the baby's sex. The main factor for us to pick up a name was a name that sounded well both in English and Spanish.
Now days picking a name seems to be more of a finding the unique and "weird" name. You can try to find an unique or funky name for your baby. I have seen names that are a combination of both parents names. I have seen names that are common object names spelled backwards. As much as unique names are awesome there is nothing like finding a name that is cute and reminds you of something
Some of the most common names each year come from Disney movies. Did you see how many Elsa and Ana baby girls were named after Frozen was released? I do not have a daughter but I named my dog Nala after the lioness form the Lion King.
So have you noticed how the popularity of Disney movies has led to a surge in babies named after some of the characters? When you visit Names.org you can see the trend per year of each Disney name.
So interesting to see the statistics. For all of us Disney lovers, it is so cool to see them. I am sure that if they included dog's names the graphs would go to the roof. Although unique names are cool, there is nothing better than having a Disney name.
