Last week on the day of my birthday I was party of the lucky group of bloggers that attended the How to Train your Dragon 2 event. I am going to tell you about the movie later on another post, but today I want to tell you all about the event, because we had a lot of fun. We started the day with a very delicious breakfast. There was a little bit of everything: fruit, muffins, croissants, breakfast burritos, bacon and egg pizza, yogurt with granola and so much more. After breakfast we were joined by writer-director Dean DeBlois who gave us a warm welcome to the studios and invited us to watch the new movie that will be released to theaters on June 13, 2014. The movie was really good. I cannot wait to take my son to see it because I know he is going to love it. If the first movie was good, I can tell you that the second one is better and that I am sure that adults are going to love this movie as well. After the movie we were able to take a tour around DreamWorks Studios and get to experience and be able to experience how to movie was made. It is so cool to see how technology helps make movies so realistic and allows animated movies to have so many great effects. And as adventurous as I am, I got hold of a sword scared some of the actors away... We also met with Pierre-Oliver Vincent, Art Director, who explained to us the process of developing each one of the drawings and how long it takes. It is so incredible to think that one movie can take a few years to be developed. We got to see the new software Apollo and we even got to play with the computers for a little bit. Yes, we were creating movies, well not really, but it was a lot of fun. The new software Apollo is super cool and allows to create scenes that look like real life and animate several characters at the same time. One of my favorite things of the day was the simulator where you get to flight a dragon. Yes, with some pretty cool glasses and steering wheel you are able to flight Toothless. I took him up on the air and then I dived as fast as I could. The simulator will be on some of the premiers around the world, and if it in a town near yours I would recommend that you try it. We even got lunch and the opportunity to see some of the cool toys that are already available. I am going to be getting the Toothless plush toy soon because it is so cute. I will be telling you all about the movie in another post, so make sure to stay connected and come back in a couple of weeks.
Are you excited about this movie? What is your favorite character?
