Grinchmas at Universal Studios Hollywood 2019

We attended the Grinchmas celebration as a guest of Universal Studios Hollywood. All opinions, typos and grammatical errors are my own

Grinchmas and Christmas in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter are back at Universal Studios Hollywood. This is probably one of the best times to visit the park because all the decorations are beautiful and because they also have hot butterbeer!

​Experiencing the holidays at Universal Studios Hollywood is super special. You get to meet the Grinch and Max the dog, plus other characters are also dressed for the holidays. We found Hello Kitty and Shrek

What to do at Universal Studios Hollywood during the Holidays

I recommend to get to the park early that way you pass security and head to the courtyard on the Upper Lot to do the Grinch and Max meet-and-greet. The line can get long (as long as 90 min) so you want to do this first thing in the morning. 

Then you can go meet Max the dog, take pictures with all the citizens of Whoville. This year ​you can enjoy the Whobilation everyday until December 29th.

Besides taking pictures with the characters you can enjoy other activities in the courtyard such as write ​a letter to the Grinch, holiday merchandise and off course delicious holiday treats.

In the evening time at 5:30pm and then  every half hour you can enjoy the Grinchmas tree lighting that includes all the  Whoville characters telling the story of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. It is super fun and a must do if visiting during the holidays.

Besides the Grichmas area, I recommend visiting Hogsmeade and getting a hot butterbeer. Although you can still choose a cold or frozen one, the hot one is only available during the holidays. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter gets decorated with Christmas lights and they also have the lighting show over the castle.
