We attended as media to facilitate this post Fright Fest at Magic Mountain will feature six haunted mazes, eight scare zones and three live shows on 24 select nights from Sept. 11 to Oct. 31. Six Flags Magic Mountain will once again unleash legions of demons, ghouls and crazed lunatics for Fright Fest 2021 as the Halloween haunted event returns to the Valencia amusement park after taking a break due to COVID in 2020. Haunted MazesAftermath 2: Chaos Rising — A fog-shrouded post-apocalyptic city covering 40,000 square feet features life-size props, pyrotechnics and other special effects. Willoughby’s Resurrected — The reincarnated Willoughby family roams the harrowing hallways of their beloved haunted mansion. Red’s Revenge — A villainous Little Red Riding Hood and her demonic minions hunt the Big Bad Wolf and all who dare enter the woods on the way to Grandmother’s house in this fairy tale gone awry. Vault 666 Unlocked — Demonic relics cast spells on a dark and sinister antique shop and haunt those who try to steal the artifacts. Condemned: Forever Damned — The walls of a dilapidated home come alive with the spirits who once lived in the haunted house. Sewer of Souls — Step into an oozing underground world of terrifying tunnels filled with lost souls amid the dank air and the smell of dread. Scare ZonesTerror Rising: Dark Developments — Demons from the depths of hell prey on innocent passers-by who enter a haunted cemetery in this new scare zone near the Viper roller coaster. Dead Zone — The new scare zone finds a renegade horde of cyberpunk zombies feeding on unsuspecting visitors in the Underground area of the park near the new West Coast Racers roller coaster. City Under Siege — Sinister clowns emerge from dark corners and run rampant through the streets in DC Universe. Witches Lair — A black magic spell transforms the DC Comics City of Metropolis into a haven for the wicked. Demon’s Door — Evil spirits threaten to take over your mind and body just inside the main entrance to Magic Mountain. Exile Hill — The sinister undead relatives of the Willoughby family vow to protect their haunted estate at any cost near the Sky Tower at the top of Magic Mountain. Nightmares: A Twisted Fantasy — Your favorite childhood bedtime stories take on a perverse twist as creatures leap from the pages of twisted fairy tales. Terror-tory Twisted — Steam-spewing mechanical beasts stalk their victims in the Screampunk District near the Twisted Colossus coaster. Live showsGrave Games — The daring and dangerous new show features crossbows and fire juggling in the Golden Bear Plaza starting Sept. 24. Dark Minds — The new mentalist show explores the deep and disturbing thoughts lurking within the darkest depths of the mind in the Gearworks Theater. VooDoo Nights — Ghoul rock meets today’s pop music hits as visitors break out their “Thriller” moves and dance the night away in Full Throttle Plaza. Fright Fest ExpressI recommend upgrading your ticket to the Fright Fest Express so you can walk the mazes without waiting in long lines. We literally waited no longer than 10 min for each maze with the Fright Pass. If you are there to ride roller coasters to see the Coasters in the Dark remember that Six Flags Magic Mountain turns off the lights on Twisted Colossus, Viper, X2, Scream, Goliath and Apocalypse for a thrilling roller coaster ride in the dark. I recommend getting the Flash Pass to avoid long lines for the rides.

I am not a huge fan of scary things but this does look like a fun festival.

Not having to wait in line is always good. It's a good tip to recommend the bypass option!

OH! Halloween excite all of us at home. My husband is very fond of scary movies and this theme park sounds right up to his ally. Thanks for sharing!

I have a few friends who did every one of the haunted walks/festivals/parks every year. And a few who avoid them all. I'm under the avoid category because I don't like surprises, but my brother-in-law goes to all of them and now that he lives in Orlando he does the one at Universal every year. I'll have to tell him about the fright pass to see if UO does something similar.
