We miss going to the movie theaters because the experience of being inside a theater, getting the popcorn and treats make the whole experience a treat for everyone. However, I feel we are not missing out on good movies, because Disney + has been releasing great content to keep us entertained at home during this health crisis. Their new movie release coming this Friday, February 19th is such a cute and perfect movie to enjoy with everyone in the family.

About the movie

Disney's “Flora & Ulysses” is a comedy-adventure based on the Newbery Award-winning book about 10-year old Flora, an avid comic book fan and a self-avowed cynic, whose parents have recently separated. After rescuing a squirrel she names Ulysses, Flora is amazed to discover he possesses unique superhero powers which take them on an adventure of humorous complications that ultimately change Flora's life--and her outlook--forever.

Read the book

I didn't know there was a book, but I am glad I found out about it and read the book before watching the movie. Do yourself a favor and read the book, the story is so much fun, with a lot of details that off course they couldn't include in the movie.

Did we like it?

We love pretty much all movies that have animals, and although some can be silly, I really think that the director of the movie was able to capture the magical story from the book while making the movie. It is cute, fun, and entertaining. For sure the kids are doing to have a great time watching the movie.

Parents can relate to the relationship they have with their pre-teens and it would make for a great family movie night. This is a good movie for all ages. This movie is Hilarious, heartfelt, and off course as any other Disney film has a great message of the importance of family.
