Most of us enjoyed Frozen and thought the story developed in a good way. It was a great ending with the they all lived happily ever after. So do we really need a Frozen 2 movie? Recently I was invited to an early press day to learn more about the making of Frozen 2. Although we did not see the whole film, we were lucky to see some clips and interview some of the people involved with the production of the film. One of the questions we got answered it was it we really need a Frozen 2 So if you were ready to "Let it go", I have some news for you. Frozen 2 is a story you might not want to let go without seeing. There are so many questions that we all have from the first film, and Frozen 2 is here to help us find those answers Frozen ending was just the beginning for Anna and Elsa. In Frozen 2 the sisters are reunited and there is a question that everyone has, where do Elsa's icy powers come from? Disney Animation Studios does not like to make sequels, unless there is a good reason for it. Even though Frozen 2 is the 53 film, it is only the 4 sequel done. It is the first animated musical sequel. To make Frozen 2, the research started in September 2016 by visiting Norway, Finland and Iceland. They were deeply inspired by the beauty of these places. There is a lot of things from research that actually made it into the film like the fall colors of Norway and the Waterfalls in Iceland. The contrast between Norway and Iceland, framed the concept for the writers. Anna felt at home in Norway with her fairy tale setting, while Elsa felt at home in the mythic Iceland. Anna is the perfect fairy tale character. She is ordinary human, not magical, optimistic. Elsa is the prefect mythic character. She is as other mythic characters have a tragic fate. The writers realized they have two stories going on at the same time. The mythic story and the fairy tale story. Anna wants to protect her sister Elsa from that tragic fate. To make Frozen 2, the got back together the incredible creative team from Frozen 1, and when it came to music, they collaborated again with the amazing song-writers Bobby Lopez and Kristen Anderson Lopez. These Oscar winner song-writers created 7 amazing songs The original cast from Frozen is returning for Frozen 2. Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Josh Gad, and Jonathan Groff. They are joined by talent new to the film: Evan Rachel Wood (plays the roll of Queen Iduna (Ana and Elsa's mom). Sterling K. Brown plays Lieutenant Mattias. (a character that has been trapped on the enchanted forest for 30 years) Frozen 2 wants to tell you where are all the characters now, but also answer questions such as
At the opening scene we are going to see a young Anna and Elsa being told a true tale by her father, the story is about a enchanted forest ruled by the magic spirits of nature: wind, fire, water and earth. In the story this forest located north of Arendelle, but some massive calamity struck the land, and now nobody can enter that part of the world. At the end of the story the father tell the girls that the forest might wake again and they need to be prepared for danger. To settle them down, the mother sings a lullaby. Story continues to present day at Arendelle, 3 years after the gates of Arendelle were opened. Elsa gave Olaf a permanent frost that allows him to to enjoy summer and his new passion (reading). Kristoff is in love with Anna. Elsa is happy that she has been reunited with her sister, but she is hearing a voice, a distant cry that only she can hear. The voice continues to call her, and makes her go to the forest. Elsa has woken the spirits. Just to something to remember, the spirits can be fun but also dangerous. But Elsa might had gone to far and she will even go to fight the dark sea. So to answer the question, yes, we need a Frozen 2 because we all needed a mythical fairy tale about the power of family!
