Disney Social Media Moms Celebration “On the Road!” 2017 at Disneyland Resort

I was invited to the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration with my family. All opinions, typos and grammatical errors are my own.

​Disney Social Media Moms Celebration is an invitation only conference for social media moms and dads. It is huge event that usually takes place in Walt Disney World and in some occasions has been at Disneyland and even included a cruise. When you are a blogger and you start seeing everyone talk about pixie dust email you always wonder if the invitations for the conference had been sent out.

For some of us, the “big” email has not landed on our inboxes (yet) but we have been lucky enough to be invited to the smaller version, the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration On the Road held in different cities around the county.

This year, the local Disney Social Media Moms Celebration On the Road, took place last week at the Disneyland Resort. We got to spend the morning on Stage 17 at Disney California Adventure learning about all new things coming to Disney Parks and also learning some social media tools.

What we learned

• Don't miss your chance to #HeroUp at #DisneyCaliforniaAdventurePark before #SummerofHeroes ends on September 10th
• This Fall Disney Cruises will sail from San Diego
• Coming soon to the Disney Parks: Toy Story Land, Pixar Pier, Star Wars Galazy's Edge, Ratatouille, Tron, Paint the Night is returning and more.
• Fantasmic has returned along with the Disneyland Railroad and Rivers of America Attraction at Disneyland.
• When at DIsney California Adventure: Disney Junior Dance Party, Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission - BREAKOUT!
• The Original Frozen cast returns for the Disney Animation Olaf's Frozen Adventure, where Olaf explores Holiday Traditions for "that time of year."
• We got a look at the funny Josh Gad recording for one of 4 new songs in  Olaf's Frozen Adventure.
• Don't miss Olaf's Frozen Adventure when it comes to theaters in front of Pixar's CoCo on November 22, 2017.
• The 11th annual Disney Parks Moms panel search kicks off Sept 6th through 13th.
• Video content should be created for social platforms first. Give users what they want.
• Your video content is only as good as how you distribute it. Share it on the right social channels
• Remember, you don't have to shoot in chronological order. 
•  Pre-plan and film to the desired platform.
• Make sure you are using Instagram in full in all three areas: videos, stories and feed photos to make the most of Search & Explore.
• We all got a personalized original sketch from Stacia Martin (artist and historian working for Disney for 39 years!)
• Key Note Speaker Amy Robach shared her inspirational story.

Having fun at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure

​After the conference, we were able to enjoy with our families (or friends) the parks. It was so much fun. I am such a kid at heart, I would never get tired of the rides and the character experiences at the parks. Below are some of the pictures that highlight the awesome time we had.
