Some of the destinations and events mentioned on this post were complimentary or a media rate was extended as part of my attendance to the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration–an invite-only conference held by Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line.
After months of anticipation and planning the day had finally arrived. We were headed to Walt Disney World for the most magical event of the year: The Disney Social Media Moms Celebration!
We took the red eye flight from Los Angeles to Orlando because we wanted to enjoy the parks before the reception and dinner. One of the perks of attending the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration (#DSMMC) is that we get fast passes for the parks that can be used at any time at any attraction. After landing at Orlando, we took the Magical Express to the hotel.
We arrived at the hotel. We were so happy to be staying on site. When you stay at the Disneyworld resorts you get so many perks such as the magic hours and transportation from hotels to parks. Our room at the Coronado Springs Resort was great, I will let the pictures do the talk.
Since we were there early, we headed to the parks. We went to Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom. We were able to ride some roller coasters and take some great pictures while at those two parks. One of our favorite rides was the Tower of Terror at Hollywood Studios. Just last year Disneyland replaced the Tower of Terror for Guardians of the Galaxy. It was good to ride the Tower of Terror one more time. We also had to visit Stitch, because my son loves him. Seeing my son's smile as he hugged Stitch was one of the most memorable moments of this trip.
After some fun at the parks it was time to go back to the hotel. The bus transportation free between the parks and the resorts is so convenient. Great way to get around without any fees. You can also take the new Minnie van service. My only advice here is to give yourself enough time for the bus to arrive and then walk to the parks. If you have fast passes reserved account for the traveling time.
We had an Influencer only reception, where we heard from the President of Walt Disney World, George Kalogridis. He talked to us about the importance of social media not only for fun, but also for information and even safety like they recently experienced during Hurricane Irma.
Then it was time for a family dinner with Pixar. We celebrated with the Pixard characters the upcoming openings of the Pixar attractions, including: Pixar Pier (Disneyland Resort), Pixar Fest (Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resort), and Toy Story Land (Walt Disney World Resort and Shanghai Disneyland).
My son and I were exhausted so we decided to go to the room and have an early night to catch up on sleep since the next day was going to be a long one. By the way the beds at the Coronado Spring Resorts were so comfortable, that we feel asleep right away! Stay tuned for day 2!!!

Congratulations on being selected as a 2018 DSMM! I bet it was an amazing experience. I stayed at Coronado Springs a few years ago and it was amazing. Well, all of the Disney resorts are. I look forward to reading more of your DSMM posts and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some pixie dust to be scattered my way.

I watched several friends at the social media moms celebration! So happy for them all and for you too. We have stayed on property before and there's nothing quite like it. I wouldn't see Disney any other way.

That looks like a lot of fun. Theme parks can be a lot of fun for the kids but also the adults. Sometimes its fun to ride the rides and eat snacks with other adults without the worry of being a parent but I always feel so guilty if I enjoy myself without my daughter. I think we need to plan a theme park trip together soon, we can both enjoy it.

I've heard a DSMM invite is hard to procure, so congrats on that :). I went to Disney World in January with a friend and we stayed at Coronado Springs for 2 nights as well - we asked for a renovated room and it was super nice, looks like you got a renovated room as well. The resort was HUGE though!
