My son and I were invited to a Freaky Friday party at the Disney Channel headquarters and we saw the movie just before it premiered on Friday, August 10th.
We had some nachos, candy and popcorn. We were in a room full of other amazing influencers and watched to musical movie. To be honest, it has been a while since I watched the first movie, I do not remember much, so I cannot compare them. I know the background story is the same, but even thought it has been a long time I did noticed some differences.
Not only the plot is a bit different but there is more singing in the new musical Freaky Friday. Probably because it this new version is based on the very successful Broadway musical. So if you like to sing along movies, you are going to enjoy the new version a lot. The new plot
A woman and her rebellious 16-year-old daughter swap bodies through the magical power of a treasured hourglass. When it accidentally shatters, they must search for a matching hourglass in a game called The Hunt where high schoolers go hunting around the community to find treasures in the city. And possibly find the hourglass so they can return to their own bodies within one day.
