Although the Lamplight Lounge has been opened for a while, timing had not been right for me to visit. We have been looking for reservations to eat there, but everything had been booked on all the dates we wanted to visit. Believe me, you might need to try to get your reservations at least 90 days before your trip. It is worth it.
The Lamplight Lounge is located in Pixar Pier. It is the restaurant that replaced out beloved Cove Bar and Ariel's Grotto. One of the few places where you can find adult beverages at the park and a great dinning experience for foodies.
Make a reservation so you can get a seat in downstairs lounge
I would recommend that you make a reservation. They are booked almost three months in advance. They do have same day seating, however the line can be long and you will be seated up-stairs, missing all the cute Pixar decor and the new vibes of the restaurant. The second floor also a limited menu. The ambiance downstairs is great. You can see hand drawn art from the many Pixar movies, and the decorations are super cute.
The menu
The drinks menu is amazing and extensive. The food menu is good, although they could add a few more items.
They offer the following menus
Bites menuBigger bitesKids menuDrink menuFavorite Food
Carne Asada Roll: It is a sushi roll wrapped in rice and seaweed. Grilled New York Strip Steak, Roasted Fresno Chili Salsa, Escabèche, and Crema. $17.00
The reviews for this item are mixed but it exceeded my expectations.
Crab and Tuna Roll: Stone Crab with Avocado, Jicama, Yellowfin Tuna, and Fireball-Yuzu Sauce. $19.00
The fireball-yuzu sauce was spicy, but not too hot to handle. This didn't disappoint.
Salmon PLT: Grilled Salmon with crispy Pancetta, Romaine Lettuce, Roasted Plum Tomato, Lemon-Bacon Aïoli, and Toasted Focaccia served with Malted Fries. $23.00
The crisp pancetta really provided a nice level of flavor to the sandwich. The Aïoli sauce was perfect.
There is only one dessert in the menu. The Warm Fluffy Donuts: $9.00
Fried fresh to order, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Four mini donuts came in a box with hazelnut and raspberry sauce. Available at the Downstairs dining area only Favorite drinks
Server Room Chill: Fizzy Cocktail with Plymouth Gin, Aperol, Agave Nectar, and Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice $15
The Sequel: Bubbling Cocktail with Absolut Citron Vodka, Bacardi Gran Reserva Maestro de Ron Rum, Liquid Alchemist Passion Fruit, fresh Lime Juice and Agave Nectar $15
Open ocean with a splash: a Frozen Cocktail made with Bacardi Raspberry Rum, Bols Blue Curaçao, Liquid Alchemist Orgeat (Almond), Agave Nectar, and fresh Lime Juice $13.75
Final with a fix: Greenbar IXÁ Reposado Tequila, St. George Raspberry Liqueur, Cointreau, fresh Lime Juice, Agave Nectar, and a dash of Del Maguey Vida Mezcal $13.25
Seasonal drink...
The drink below is the Halloween drink, not on the menu and only available during Halloween season. It is delicious. It is mango purée, spiced rum, Aperol, lime juice, and agave nectar. Garnished with Luxardo Cherries $12.50
Delicious
Overall I think that the Lamplight Lounge is a great addition to Disney California Adventure. I was really sad when the Cove Bar was closing, but I am pleased with the replacement. If you loved the lobster nachos, you can still get them here as well as some of the old menu drinks. We will be back to try more drinks and food for sure.
You can make reservations for Lamplight Lounge by calling (714) 781-DINE or via the Disneyland website

We are going next February. We don't see a place to make reservations then. Is it on the website or the application?
