It is still recommended that you get there at least an hour before departure. The Catalina Landing area has restaurants and bar, so you can enjoy some food and drinks while you wait for the boarding time. The cool thing with the Commodore Lounge Upgrade is that they have a designated line to board the boat. You board first with a short line. Then you head to the second floor to the private area for the Commodore Lounge ticket holders. You are greeted by the very friendly and helpful employees. They serve you, on your seat drinks and snacks. And for about one hour you get to relax on the very comfortable seats. Read, sleep, watch the ocean. Your choice. Just do it in style and comfort from the Commodore Lounge.
About the Commodore UpgradeFirst-Class Treatment at Sea. For a $15 upgrade each way, Commodore Lounge passengers enjoy priority check-in and boarding, comfortable seating in a more intimate lounge environment and a complimentary beverage with packaged snack served by cabin attendants. The upper level lounge offers leather-trimmed seats that are wider, recline for comfort and there are seat-to-ceiling level windows for great ocean views. Pets are not permitted in the Commodore Lounge. Commodore Lounge is available on the Catalina Jet, Jet CatExpress and Starship Express.

Well now let's just say that if I am ever in the area I will take advantage of this ride!! Love boats and cruises and this one sounds great too. Thanks for the information. Also great to know about the birthday deal too!!

The lounge upgrade sounds fabulous. I have been on a boat only a handful of times, but I have liked each time. This looks like a nice getaway that my husband and I would enjoy. 3/27/2017 08:39:51 pm
What a fun experience. I would so pay that $15 bucks. Sounds totally worth it. I would love to go on the Catalina express. Time for a little pampering!

If my husband I ever travel that way .. we'll definitely be taking advantage of this! A more comfortable ride would be worth the bump in price. If there was any doubt .. the lounge chairs and drinks would win us over! 3/28/2017 04:26:47 am
What a fun experience! I love taking day trips on boats...it gives you an other perspective of the city and the surrounding areas.

I like traveling on the water to see the sights and sea critters too. The seats look comfortable here. I also like that you can ride free for your birthday – I think that is really cool!

I was just wondering do you get the upgrade while checking in or is this something I can do online prior to the trip?

You can do both. I recommend doing it befor the trip, so they do not sold out. But if they have spots available you can do the updrage on the booth. Leave a Reply. |
