Coffee is more than a morning drink #MomentoNESCAFE

It has been six years since I have seen my grandma. I always remember going to her house in the afternoon and having a cup of coffee with some homemade pastries. It was something the whole family used to look forward to, and going back to visit her in Colombia brings those memories back.

The main reason is that for us, the coffee meant more than just a drink, the coffee meant that it was time to listen to grandma share stories and tell us about when our parents were little and how she grew up without all the resources we have now and still had fun.

It was very interesting listening to her and knowing that during that coffee time, we were able to travel in time and feel like it we were there. She is a great storyteller.

So you might be wondering how my encounter with my grandma was? It was awesome. I got to see some other family members as well and we sat in a circle around my grandma so she would start telling stories as we enjoyed some coffee and some colombian arepas. What else could I had ask for?
