Christmas at Disneyland Resort 2017

Disclosure: I received tickets to facilitate this post, however all opinions, typos and grammatical errors are my own.

The magic is endless at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure from November 10, 2017 to January 7, 2018, when visitors can share the Christmas spirit, During that time the resort becomes a winter wonderland full of seasonal attractions, Christmas entertainment, festive decorations and themed treats that will turn each day into an unforgettable experience.

What is happening at Disneyland

• A Christmas tree 60 feet high decorated with almost 1,800 ornaments located on Main Street. (This is a great photo spot)
•  "it's a small world" attraction shines more than ever as it becomes "it's a small world" Holiday. Enjoy the ride while celebrating with dolls from around the world that show you festive traditions in each of their countries.

• The iconic "it's a small world" music, composed by brothers Richard and Robert Sherman, is combined with classic Christmas carols such as "Jingle Bells" and "Deck the Halls". Since this is a very popular attraction during the holidays, FastPass will be available.
• Haunted Mansion becomes Haunted Mansion Holiday, celebrating the clash between Christmas and Halloween, with Jack Skellington and his friends from the film "Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas movie.

What is happening at Disney California Adventure

• Holiday Sunset Concerts: dance parties that include the inspiring Christmas music of Phat Cat Swinger (Friday-Monday) and Mariachi Divas (Tuesday-Thursday) at Paradise Park.
• Popular performances during the holiday season by: The Sound (cappella style group), Mostly Kosher, Blue13 Dance Company and the Holiday Toy Drummers. 
• "Disney Viva Navidad!" returns with music, dance, decorations, crafts and Disney characters, including Princess Elena of Avalor.
• Special foods and drinks will be part of the Festival of Holidays, where multicultural delights will be served at the market kiosks.

• Visit Santa at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail. There would be festive entertainment and holiday activities, cookie decorating and even have the opportunity to meet Santa Clause and his mischievous elves.
• Carthay Circle, on Buena Vista Street, will be decorated with the 1920s style just like back in the day when Walt Disney  moved to California. There would be also a  50 feet high Christmas Tree decorated with ornaments used back in that time.

Festival of Holidays

Foodies rejoice. Lots of delicious foods available to try during the Festival of Holidays at Disney California Adventure. Let me just show you some of the dishes you would be able to try at the Festive Foods Market place.

If you are an annual pass holder you can buy a tasting card for $45 dollars and includes 8 tasting coupons (not valid for alcohol).

See the pictures below for the foods I tried. They have a little bit for everyone's taste. Some foods like cookies start at $3 and most dishes are between $5 to $8 dollars.

My favorite was the Salmon followed by the Chorizo Queso Fundido. The Chicken Liver Pate might not be for everyone. I did not try any alcohol drinks this time (I know, shocking, right?).
